Dielectric strength testers manufactured by Electrical Dynamic Company are available in two models: 8130B4/B5 and 8170CF4/5, both of which are suitable for repair models and service centers. Model 8130B4/B5, is a low-cost portable instrument used for insulation measurement on electronic components, electric motors, armatures, coils, and transformers. The instrument provides an AC voltage adjustable between 0 and 4000 Vrms for the 8130B4 version and 0 ? 5000 Vrms for the 8130B5 one.

This model has a short-circuit current of > 30 mA. The other model, 8170CF4/5, is a professional portable instrument for insulation measurement on electronic components, electric motors, armatures, coils and transformers. The instrument supplies an AC voltage that may be calibrated between 0 and 4000 Vrms for the 8170CF4 version and 0 - 5000 Vrms for the 8170CF5 version. This model features a short circuit current of >200 mA.
