Fieldbus is becoming increasingly popular amongst manufacturers, research facilities, and laboratories who have discovered the benefits of reduced cabling and network equipment costs it provides.

Edwards has developed this compact, Din rail mountable unit that is capable of providing Profibus communications utilizing TIC Turbo and instrument controllers. The TIC can also be used with Edwards DX/nEXT turbo pumps directly.

The TIC is a technologically advanced system controller with the ability to control up to three Edwards Active vacuum gauges and a series of vacuum pumps. The new Profibus module can easily fit alongside the TIC, allowing for optimization of any digital multi-drop communications.

The new module is manufactured with full Profibus International accreditation, so you can rest assured it carries the highest level of confidence for reliability and that it will be functionally compatible with all Profibus products and networks.
