The SOLARLOK 5-string Combiner Box is intended for residential use. The unit enables a combination of up to five strings in a pre-terminated, connectorized, weather-resistant enclosure, as per National Electric Code (NEC), and is used for fusing photovoltaic (PV) modules (solar panels). The SOLARLOK 5-string Combiner Box features a box, cover (with hinges), transparent dead front lid (under the cover), and 10 pre-terminated male SOLARLOK connectors, each with a removable seal cover.

The box contains four knockouts (for output wiring), a lock tab, mounting slots, and a pre-wired grounding clip. The box interior consists of five fuse blocks pre-wired to the positive SOLARLOK connectors, five terminal blocks pre-wired to the negative SOLARLOK connectors, and an equipment terminal block used to ground the equipment. The box does not contain fuses.
