The key elements of the Medan electric spindle actuator ELS-R are the carriage, the spindle and the tube. Customers can specify electric motors made by many different world-wide companies.

For standard applications, the ELS-R spindle actuator uses a spindle with a pitch of 2mm, this enables higher speeds to be achieved. The carriage transmits the force of the spindle through the slot of the tube to the load. The outer sealing band protects the slot of the tubes against ingress of dirt.

The tube of the drive is on both sides closed by heads, one of which initates out of the spindle clamped and the motor connection, while the other head takes over with the spindle floating bearing because of its design. To approach the required reference positions, its recommended that external sensors are used. These can be attached to the tube if required.
