2D laser scanner / security

This cost-efficient safety laser scanner is capable of monitoring an area within an angle up to 190 degrees and divides the area up to two zones. These capabilities make the Panasonic SD3 a flexible machine, particularly in areas with danger zone changes and in confined spaces. The divided zones include a warning zone with a 15m radius and a protection zone with a 4m radius. If required, the contours of the zones can be configured specifically for any application. At any given time, up to eight patterns can be set and activated.

The Panasonic SD3 has a reliable reference boundary function that can memorize positions of stationary objects and subsequently establish a virtual boundary. It is also capable of monitoring beam alignments and sends off an alarm should the beam become misaligned.
