The CL Extrema Plus is intelligently geared to deliver outstanding performances in the machining of prototypical aluminum components and large molds. The machine is adroitly designed and structured. The generous sized beam is movable to provide adaptability and flexibility in operation. The three axes are manipulated by means of a twin gantry drive.

The machine is equipped with a dual pinion and reduction gear while the preloading function is controlled electronically. These features enable excellent exactitude in positioning, the best in class for any rack and pinion transmission assembly. This enhances the rigidity of the system, enables efficient harnessing of the velocity offered by the design, thereby providing surface machining of the highest caliber.

The axes incorporate direct measuring systems. The state-of-the-art technology grants excellence in performance and superlative precision in the machining of components. The axes have stroke lengths of 2200 - 3000 - 4000 mm for the X-axis, 2000 - 10,000 mm for the Y-axis and 1300 mm for the Z-axis.

The machine is geared to provide speeds of 70 m/min for the X and Y axes and 50 m/min for the Z-axis. Acceleration is up to 4-3 m/sec² while repeatability is 0.015 mm. The positioning precision provided by the machine is 0.03 mm/m.
