The small and diverse adapter is designed exclusively for remote maintenance. The ACCON-MPI-Modem enables connectivity of a PC with a MPI interface of a S7 PLC for isolated maintenance. Adding to this, the connection is initiated via telephone connectivity. Ideal areas of application are as a programming adapter to monitor and to switch the PLC program through model connection. Distinct ranges of appliaction such as the isolated maintainence of S7 PLCs with STEP 7 via modem and transmission of a revamped S7 program to a S7 controller with STEP 7 via modem.

The ACCON-MPI-Modem is an ACCON-MPI/TS-Adapter with an onsite modem. Owing to this embedded system, this device is able to boast a compact footprint that can be fitted into any switch cabinet. Furthermore, it uses the exact communication protocol as the TS adapter hence it can be installed anywhere and with literally any user software, provided it supports this adapter.
