Sony presents IXS-6600 Hybrid HD/SD routing system. It is an answer to broadcasters’ and video producers’ need of handling a broad array of signals at maximum efficiency. The new-generation "hybrid" routing system includes two models - IXS-6700 and IXS-6600.

IXS-6600 can handle SD and HD video signals as well as audio and RS-422A within only one chassis. This provides savings in space and costs. The routers feature a common Ethernet interface, which allows establishment of an advanced, but easily configurable network-based control system. They also have a time-tested Sony S-BUS interface to facilitate seamless integration into current routing systems. As an additional advantage, the system can be integrated with Sony MVS-8000A and DVS-9000 switchers. This provides several benefits such as bidirectional control of operations, exchange of source name, and tally management.

IXS-6000 combines all these features into a compact chassis.
