Needle cage

Schaeffler needle roller and cage assemblies are single or double row units that include cages and needle rollers.

The radial section of the assemblies is smaller than the diameter of the needle rollers. This enables the needle roller and cage assemblies to achieve bearing settings with small radial design envelope.

The devices are ideal for high speeds and have a capacity of carrying high loads. They are easy to fit. It is possible to get bearing arrangements with high accuracy of runout by producing raceways to greater geometrical accuracy.

The needle roller sort and tolerance of the shaft and housing can affect the radial internal clearance. Both shaft and housing of the needle roller and cage assemblies demand a hardened and ground raceway.
