Digital order-picking system

The entire picking area is divided into individual zones, connected by computer-controlled conveyors which are also used for putting products into storage (putaway). Carriage times are reduced with zones laid out to best suit the given conditions.

The material-flow control system diverts the containers only to those stations where processing is necessary. Overcrowded stations are bypassed and returned to later. Stop-and-go operation is also possible. Urgent orders are handled with priority ? the remaining processing time is calculated automatically and compared with the dispatch deadline. Additional empty containers can be added manually to those that are already full. Stations can be deactivated or bypassed. An appropriate conveying system and the corresponding software modules are all that is necessary.


Goods to person OSR Shuttle?
The KNAPP multifunctional and ergonomically designed Pick-it-Easy goods-to-person work station is used in combination with the OSR Shuttle?. Functioning independently, the shuttles bring goods out of the racking system which are then transported directly to the operating staff via a vertical lift and feeding conveyor.
