Programmable RS-485 communication module / Ethernet

With the new EC-COM communication modules the number of interfaces in the modular CANtrol EC EtherCAT control system can be simply increased. To achieve this the EC-COM module is attached to the left side of a EC1000 control unit. In this way the EC-COM module adds more interfaces and flexibility to the overall system, with the EC1000 controller now having at its disposal the following additional interfaces via the EC-COM module:

One or two ethernet switch ports
A second CAN bus
An additional switchable serial interface (RS232 oder RS485).

First-class communication performance is guaranteed via the direct link with the CPU of the EC1000. Programming of the new interfaces is carried out using CODESYS V3 or V2.3 on our EC1000 controller.
