Uniform magnetic heating system

A key business field for the company pro-beam systems GmbH is the manufacture of electron beam systems, including heating equipment (UMH), integrated into complex production lines for the automotive industry and for warming and demagnetisation of workpieces requiredprior to electron beam welding.

The UMH process heats compenents uniformly by using an alternating magnetic field for different applications such as joining, annealing and tempering.

Fast and very precise control enables only +/-5 ° C difference in workpiece temperature and eliminates residual stresses.

The heart of the system consists of a laminated core of layered sheets of magnetic transformer steel in the form of a "C". The solenoid generating the alternating magnetic field is located at the end of the open core.
