Convection heater

The Cata-Dyne? Line Heater uses radiant heat transfer to increase the temperature of compressed natural gas to avoid the formation of hydrates and freezing of equipment during pressure drop at locations such as distribution nodes and sales taps. Applications across the oil and gas industry include heating fuel gas for natural gas fired turbines and heating thick oils to improve ease of distribution.

Each unit consists of Cata-Dyne? infrared gas catalytic heaters mounted within a self-contained stainless steel structure. Heaters are strategically positioned to apply direct infrared heat to a serpentine tube heat exchanger coil. The serpentine coil is designed to promote high velocity turbulent flow, resulting in high efficiency heat transfer to the gas stream.
