The basic operation of this instrument, DF PSM, involves real time simultaneous measurement of slurry particle size, size distribution, and pulp density whilst under usage (on-line)using the Multi-frequency ultrasonic attenuation. The range of measurements for size lies between- the largest particle is not more than 1mm, P80 is for the 295 to 25micron distribution and the density ranges from percentage density of pulp weight is 4~60%. With this wide range the instrument never compromises on accuracy and ensures a particle size and density measurement precision of absolute error less than 1.0％(1σ). It can be used comfortably under multi-flow channels and the sample channels lie between 1~3. The measurement cycle is manual or automatic depending on the measurement from the front panel and automatic cycles according to user-defined sequence. Remote control, DCScontrol system computer on-site can choose 1, 2,3 flow channel through a signal switch connected to the particle size monitor displaying flow channel measurement cycles, each flow channel is 1-255minutes(user-selectable).
