A utility grade, Power over Ethernet (PoE) approved, fully handled, modular, Ethernet switch, typically created to dependable function in electrically harsh and climatically demanding utility substation and industrial areas is the RUGGEDCOM RSG2100P. Its excellent, ruggedized hardware design, combined with the RUGGEDCOM Operating System (ROS®), supports enhanced system dependability and broad networking features, making it perfectly fitted for making Ethernet networks for mission-critical, real-time, control applications. This device comes standard with 4 10/100BaseTX 802.3af (PoE) compliant Ethernet ports and provides modular adaptability of up to 15 additional Ethernet ports along with 10BaseFL /100BaseFX/ 1000BaseX fiber and 10/100/ 1000BaseTX copper port combinations. It is highly flexible and able to support numerous fiber types and connectors (ST, MTRJ, LC, SC), without port density loss. It is also a perfect solution to power and link multiple Ethernet devices.
