Whether you require flow measurement as part of a statutory sampling/monitoring system, or just need to know the flow within a large pipe, duct or stack, we have the solution.

With a dedicated Flow Division, RM&C can offer a wide range of flow products; however Measurement Systems uses two main types of flow measurement device. The Insertable Averaging Pitot Tube or a custom Flow Grid, depending on the installation conditions and accuracy required.

Both of these primary elements can connect to an RM&C Microbar Differential Pressure Transmitter (DPT). This unit when used in conjunction with the tried and tested Pitot Tube or Flow Grid, produces an accurate and traceable flow measurement.

The RM&C Microbar DPT was designed specifically for use on extract and ventilation monitoring systems, where low differential pressures are expected. With full scale ranges down to 0-30Pa and the ability to span the unit over a 5:1 range this unit is almost unmatched at its price point.

When installed close to a primary flow element, which could be a Pitot Tube, Flow Grid, Orifice Plate, Venturi or any other primary DP device, the Microbar is simply connected by means of two impulse lines, making installation quick and simple.

The instrument is a two wire 4-20mA unit with LCD display, alarm relay contacts and totaliser pulsed outputs. It can display directly in pressure units or, with the integral square root function, can display flow rate in a wide range of engineering units.
