The BS 55 is a brushless AC electric servo-motor, with length from 0.45 to 2.7 Nm. The motor has 4-pole sinusoidal brushless and is enclosed. The unit sports a Rotor with NdFeB magnets, and a thermal safety device; it is of a Class F winding configuration.

This device is housed in a IP65 protection grade, in accordance with the CEI EN 60529 standards. It also has a feedback with 2-pole resolver. This component showcases a special grease applied to the clearance bearing so that the motor can withstand high temperatures. The casing in hardened and tempered steel UNI7874 with precision teeth class 7 with its planet gear is nitrided hardened and tempered steel.

The device is integrated with satellite gears in nitrided 42CrMo4 steel UNI7874. It also exhibits an output shaft that supports the bearings for high torques and loads and requires 134 to 293 W.
