The TUG series is used for recovery and booster compression of gases such as helium, SF6, oxygen, nitrogen and Natural gas, as well as for booster compression (boosting) of compressed air.
TUG compressors have the electric motor in the gas compartment. Power is supplied to the electric motor through a gas-tight connection in the pressure housing. This construction, developed by Haug, provides a permanent gas-tight compression without leaks (leak rate Through the use of special measures, the TUG compressor can also be used for dry gases such as Natural gas, which form an explosive ignition mixture in the air and therefore require an ATEX compliant installation.
The TUG compressor can also be used for refrigerant gases or SF6 and in the compact variant for OEM applications, with integrated cooler over the electric motor and a minimal pipework and instrumentation for integration in an OEM system.
