The The Thermo Scientific? SOLA II is used to determine sulfur levels in liquid hydrocarbon fuel process streams. IT also provides an on-line adaption of ASTM D5453. The SOLA II is a low-maintenance, pulsed ultraviolet fluorescent sulfur analyzer that can steadily measure low ppm levels for meeting tightening, Tier 2, regulatory requirements that need controlled sulfur levels in fuels. Moreover, it is used to measure sulfur levels in gasoline, diesel, kerosene, and jet fuel. Conversions for total sulfur measurement are done by the Pyrolyzer without needing a pure oxygen source. This tried and tested system employs precise sample introduction control through its hardware and software.
