Ball torque limiter / mechanical

This range of mechanical torque limiters are available as multi or single position, detent/ball interface torque overload units. They are designed to shield drive and driven parts from damage that results from torque overloads. Backlash free torque transmission is achieved with a help of a range of balls that are embedded in hardened dents within the interface of the units.

The potential torque ranges from 40-24,000 in-lbs and the overloads can be flagged with the help of a proximity sensor, which alerts the drive to shut down. For applications of high speed, there is a complete disengagement version that frees the wheels in the event of an overload. Re engagement is completed manually by jogging into position.
