The Vympel-500 Ultrasonic multi-meter is designed for high-precision measurement of the flow rate and volume of natural gas and other gaseous media. The flow meter has eight independent sensor-to-sensor chord measurement channels. The measurement of the target medias integral velocity along the chords make it possible to obtain detailed information about the nature of the flow; taking into account its distribution profile in the transition to the flow rate calculation.

The device is equipped with a state-of-the-art, energy-efficient ten-channel electronics. The systems software enables the device to display all current measurement data in real-time in a graphical format, and to show diagnostic information about the state of electronics hardware. Signal processing delivers information about these main characteristics:

media velocity profile;
velocity of sound in each channel;
signal quality parameters;
values for noise distortion levels.
Flanged measurement sections can be finished from forged blanks or cast and range in size from DN200 to DN700.

Applications: commercial metering of natural gas as well as volume and consumption at gas metering stations or border zone areas that are responsible for gas transmission.
