The Sonocontrol 14 is manufactured by Sonotec, and is a smart compact sensor that is highly intended for the detection of the position of pistons in hydraulic cylinders or pressure accumulators and for the monitoring of fluid levels. It allows contact-less measurement through the wall of a pipe or tank.

The unit is in particular appropriate for use in the chemicals industry, hydraulic engineering or in the construction of plant. It has an accuracy of ± 1 mm that is static from the middle of sensor. It also has a cylinder dimension of 70 to 800 mm inner diameter and 95 to 950 mm outer diameter.

The voltage rating is from 18 to 30 V DC with a maximum 80 mA power consumption.
