The EICP series of compact switching hubs fills the need for those industrial and commercial applications requiring a small footprint and a temperature range between 0° to +60°C. Copper and fiber versions are available in this product line.

The EICP segments the Ethernet LAN into multiple collision domains. It acts as a "bridge" between data links?creating a larger network diameter than possible with repeating hubs. Each twisted-pair port senses the capabilities of the device at the far end of its link, then automatically optimizes the data rate to 10 or 100 Mbps and duplex operation to half or full. Full-duplex negotiation implements the PAUSE method of flow control. Half-duplex links use backpressure for flow control.
