This machining center demonstrates supreme capacity and is designed to handle substantial volume and heavy workloads. It boasts a cast iron frame and a gantry design for extreme ruggedness. Adding to this, it features a compact footprint to provide economical and efficient operation. The Portalo gantry type machining center has a rugged traverse that is powered from both sides and precise synchronized drives, where the Z axis is wide and graciously spaced square guides. The table is permanently fixed and can handle weights upwards of 2 ton per sqm.

Furthermore, the NEFF pre loaded ball screws and class leading servo motors by Siemens guarantee rapid and dynamic feeds on all the axes. Machine components are manufactured in Germany and Japan optimum availability, ensuring reliable function for many years. The surface of the table is hardened and can accommodate work pieces without affecting the parts of the mechanical table, which also ensures top notch protection during unloading and loading. The robust head stock drive delivers a maximum of 28 kw capacity combined with servo motors on axes with a maximum of 7.7 kw capacity. The models in this lineup arrive with head stock fitted with coolant feeds.
