Microwave consistency meters A344 from Aquar Systems is used in the determination of bulk concentration of all substances that enters the composition of the suspension. Its operational principle is based on the exact measurement of permittivity of pulp in the microwave range of electromagnetic waves. Therefore, it has more efficiency as compared to the traditional methods of measurement that relied majorly on the change of the pulp viscosity depending on its concentration. It is insensitive to the physical factors like types of fibers, their length, composition, grinding degree, color, flow speed. They have good repeatability, linearity and high sensitivity thus they are the best when it comes to measurement of waste flows of paper pulp in the process of cellulose production. It can withstand harsh production conditions allowing it to be used in any technological parts of papermaking. A 7" TFT LCD continuous monitoring current values of concentration, temperature and conductivity of the pulp to assist the operator.
