Mineral-insulated band heater

The mineral insulated band heaters assembled by Watlow, is equipped with a thin layer of the high thermal conductive MI component that insulates electrically the element wire from the interior diameter of the heater sheath. In addition, a thicker, low thermal conductivity layer is also present and is in charge of the supporting of the element wiring for conducting heat inward towards the part being heated.

This device from Watlow is made of stainless steel that is capable of operating to an utmost 760 °C.
