Motion detector / video

The ZS-MD4-2 motion detector achieves a very high level of triggering reliability and is therefore particularly suitable for the surveillance of outdoor facilities, buildings and driveways. It automatically distinguishes movements with surveillance implications in the video image from harmless factors caused by the weather. Moreover, the ZS-MD4-2 takes into account differences in sizes in terms of perspective in the evaluation of movements at a distance. With 1,024 sensor fi elds, four surveillance zones can be defi ned for each camera location. In the event of motion alarms the motion detector automatically activates moving camera units. With this tracking function a suspicious object can be kept under continuous surveillance even if it passes several camera locations. Sabotage warnings and alarms are reliably detected by the ZS-MD4-2 and can be forwarded via freely programmable RS-232/RS-485 interfaces and a relay contact per channel. Alarm indicators, for example, can be connected to the relay outputs. The user-friendly software supplied permits the motion detector to be confi gured from a PC or laptop.
