The energy devices of TAIYO YUDEN include coin type, ceramic type, cylinder type, and thin film type polyacene capacitors, and cylinder type lithium ion capacitors, and a vast lineup from small size and thin type capacitors for backup to capacitors for energy storage is offered. Because of an original electrode structure, the polyacene capacitor has succeeded in increasing the capacity per cubic volume compared with the conventional electric double-layer capacitor.
The lithium ion capacitor can be used at a high voltage of 3.8 V based on the technology of pre-doping lithium ions to the negative electrode in advance. Furthermore, it is an environment-friendly capacitor that does not include heavy metals causing environmental pollution. (RoHS compliant)
