Surge protection is essential for AC generators, large motors, synchronous condensers, etc. The DIELEKTROL is a non-PCB power capacitor dielectric model offered by GE. It is designed to be an environmentally-acceptable product that offers superior reliability and performance.

Thanks to hermetically-sealed bushings and a film dielectric, the capacitor can be mounted either on its side or in an upright position. Since it is able to reduce the steepness of wave fronts reflected within (or applied to) the machine windings, the GE series surge capacitor can protect the winding insulation.
