The Sucroflex Reflactence Colorimeter is designed for the color classifications of white sugars. It can cover a range of 0 to 6 with corresponding color interpretations.

The most defining characteristic to categorize sugar is its color that may differ from white to yellowish or brownish shades. The International Commission for Uniform Methods of Sugar Analysis (ICUMSA) offers a color type scale that may be used in grading the color of white sugars.
