This unit offers high work piece weights, simple handling, with superior machining power. The one-piece mono-block construction durable wide machine bed has heavy ribbing. Minimum wear and long-term accuracy are provided through the induction-hardened and ground guide slots.

The unit has superior stability even with heavy loads, because of the massive headstock with high-precision 100 mm spindle bore on a tapered roller bearing. Even at maximum spindle speed, the unit is extremely quiet.

Guideways are liberally sized and it has hardened and ground gears with a manual 4-step auxiliary gearbox. The finest frequency drive technology in combination with up to 18,5 kW main spindle motor ratings ensure precise tuning of speed/torque for heavy-duty machining.

The auxiliary gearbox has a wide spectrum of inch, diametric, metric and module threads. With 3-axis position indicator.
