The MFTB series is manufactured by IMSA srl. It is a deep hole drilling machine, that is especially designed for cylindrical parts, such as transmission housing, cam shafts, injectors, lubricators, etc. The MFTB is customized depending on the required drilling depth, diameters, and number of spindles.

The range starts from machines for small lots to high-productivity lines. The series MFTB puts in rotation both the drill (cutting movement) and the piece (counte rotation movement). The machine is for circular work pieces, and employs two different drilling methods, which varies on the application's requirement. For the MFT, it utilizes the deep hole drilling method named gundrilling, while for the MFTB, it utilizes the deep hole drilling method called BTA or STS.
