The Magnetic Inductive Flow Sensor (Type: VMI07) is generally employed in applications involving cooling processes present in machine as well as plant engineering and in building services. The smart flow sensors from the induQ® series function is in accordance with the following principle of induction: the measurement pipe is in a magnetic field(B). If instances wherein the electrically-conductive medium, with the flow(Q) to be measured, flows through the measurement pipe and thereby at a right angle to the magnetic field -- a voltage(U) is generated in the medium. In relation to that, this voltage is directly proportional to the average flow velocity, therefore is picked up by a pair of electrodes.

The flow proportional output signals feature two available versions namely, the frequency output signal (the standard) and the analog & frequency output signals (optional).
