Magnetic latching holding solenoid

These types of solenoids are used in manipulators, locking systems, etc. This type of holding solenoid generates magnetic flux without power supply (thanks to powerfull permanent magnet inside). When power supply is switched on, ferromagnetic yoke is released. It is possible to enlarge the holding force by exchanging the wires.

Main advantage of these electromagnets is high holding force without need of any power supply - it is switched on only for time required to release the yoke. It is useful in energy saving applications or where are very strict safety requirements at power supply cut.
