Laser extensometer

The Laserxtens series is manufactured by Zwick, and is an extensometer that delivers high precision in the micro and macro measurement ranges. It has a measuring principle that reduces the need to apply gage marks.

The unit can be equipped at wide variety of distances from the specimen, which is the key advantage to be used in temperature chambers. It can also measure strain on specimens in gage lengths from 1.5 mm with high accuracy. It has a resolution of 0.15 ?m and can be utilized for simultaneous measurement of axial strain and torsion.
