The Model F50 disc-actuated mechanical flow switch from Magnetrol prove an extremely reliable and flow control solutions to sense the presence or absence of flow in horizontal pipelines. The switches are designed to sense clean liquids in 2 inch or smaller line sizes. The flow path is lifted by the force of liquid flow through a valve body and against a flow disc.

The attraction sleeve located at the disc assembly's top moves into the field of a switch magnet thus attracting the magnet and actuating the switch. The flow switch finds wide application in pump staging or failure, pipeline flow detection, valve failure, loss of pipeline flow, pipe blockage/rupture, pump inlet flow protection, check valve blockage/leakage, alarm on eyewash or shower safety station
