Right from the company’s beginnings 50 years ago, FELLAR has been very active in the iron and steel industry and this has meant we have become highly specialized in the design and manufacture of the special large and medium-sized reducers that are required for both hot and cold rolling processes. Given the specificities of reducers used in rolling mills both in terms of the power required and of size (up to 60,000 kilos), these kinds of reducers are made with helical and double-helical (herringbone) tooth gears.


Drawing on the company’s experience, FELLAR has developed a specific range of reducers and gearboxes for all of the arrangements required in rolling mill processes:


Primary reducers to drive any kind of gearbox. With or without flywheel, in various arrangements according to requirements horizontal tandem, orthogonal, etc.

Gearboxes to drive any kind of rolling machinery arrangement grinding, finishing, double or triple rollers, etc.

Special reducers with high levels of cooling for removal of material from furnaces.

Reducers with speed change capability for finishing lines.
