Universal indentation hardness tester

The DUH-211/DUH-211S series represents the latest surface strength evaluation system, designed to determine material strength of micro regions including: semiconductors, LSI, ceramics, hard disks, vapor deposited films, and similar thin coating layers, that would be impossible with the previous hardness testing systems. In addition it can also be used for testing plastics and rubbers. This unit features a unique method for measuring dynamic indentation depth, instead of the indentation after the test, allowing testing of very thin films and surface layers, that cannot be observed by standard models. This method can also be used to gather data in order to determine elastic modulus on the test specimens.
