Toshiba presents BMC-800/1000 horizontal machining center has linear roller guides in all axes (X, Y and Z). This makes the feed system more stiff and compliant, which results in consistently high speed and high precision-type positioning and contouring throughout the service life of the machine.

BMC-800/1000 has a rapid traverse rate of 18 m/min (59.1 ft/min), and it enables axis feed at high speeds with a maximum feed rate of 10 m/min (32.8 ft/min). This combination greatly reduces idle time, thereby providing significant productivity gains.

The machine features several thermal displacement features such as spindle drive motor with oil cooling, ball screw cooling unit and linear scale (X, Y and Z) feedback mechanism. This results in highly stable, high-precision machining across the machine's service life (option).
