Interface converter configuration interface

Prodat-04 is a program interface that uses either a desktop or a laptop with the appropriate software to program all the Datexel devices of the Smart series. This interface requires (± 7 Vdc) value of ?not load? voltage to function. However, it continues to work even when the RS-232 serial port does not supply the minimum required voltage, as the 9 V battery it houses comes alive automatically in case of a voltage problem. If this battery backup is not available because of a drained battery or for some other reason, the interface comes with an option to connect the J3 plug to the external source of power supply. This external power supply should be within the range of 4 Vdc ? 30 Vdc, which results in a power supply of more than 50mA. The J4 plug can also be programmed to receive and power supply with the same voltage, either from the battery or an external source.
