Heat treatment changes physical properties of metals such as hardness, tensile strength and toughness by means of a three-step process of heating, cooling and reheating. The metal is heated to high temperature, referred to as critical temperature, where changes in the microstructure take place. The metal should remain at this temperature for a certain time to ensure that the properties of the metal are totally altered with subsequent cooling and reheating.

MSE Furnace manufactures metal heat treatment furnaces up to 1500 oC for high temperature applications such as melting, stress relieving, quenching, tempering, normalizing, annealing and aging.
