Motorized positioning table / 5-axis

The Pentro, manufactured by Piezo System, is a 5 axis positioning system that consists of 3-axis translation system and a 2-axis tilting system. The construction is temperature compensated so that changes in the surrounding temperature do not affect the tilting angle. Because the mirror mounts are preloaded, and are characterized by high stiffness and resonant frequency, dynamic operation is possible. It also features a a free center hole with a 17mm diameter, an integrated pre-load and a tilt in each direction with a ±2 mrad. It has flexure hinges for the 3-axis translation that guarantees optimum parallelism over the travel range of the stage. The primary components with solid state flexure hinges are made from stainless steel. The bottom and top plates are made from black anodized aluminum.
