Bulky product automatic storage system

These warehouses are mainly uses for decoupling Buffer production between two macro processes (example in a steel industry, steel works and rolling mills) or for semi-finished materials awaiting following working phases (example in a metallurgical industry).

The billets are stocked one above the other, each layer is composed by a stretch of line Billet; the quantity in each layer is designed in project phase according to dimensional features of materials.
Piles of layers are supported by appropriate structures available cantilever racks that guarantees the preservation of the coordinates storage and avoiding inappropriate drapping of billets from the stacks. Generally, the handling system is based on the use of automatic cranes equipped with special collect systems (for example electro-magnets and clamps multi strip)
