Optical fiber multiplexer card

For complete electrical isolation for 2 independent channels of both 10BASE-T and 100BASE-TX Ethernet communication choose the FOM-8220. The card will incorporate the automatic MDI/MDIX capability of switch over that allows the user a crossover or straight cable for any LAN configuration. For in and out RF shielded enclosures or areas of high electrical noise, the card can be used. When it comes to interference that is caused by crosstalk, impulse noise. or EMI, the fiber optic cable is not susceptible. Because the fiber optic cable doesn't radiate any emissions, the privacy of communications is also enhanced. Additionally, the fiber optic cable offers a much longer transmission distance instead of twisted paired copper wiring. With multi-mode optics on the card, the distance can be extended to 2km, and single-mode optics can offer a further extension of 20km.
