The SATURN I 5702 GN systems are designed to be used for Radiological Monitoring in Research Centers and Nuclear Plants, and for Environmental Monitoring and Radiological Monitoring for Nuclear Medicine Laboratories.

SATURN I 5702 GN PNP is a modular system which can monitor gamma and neutron radioactivity levels in pulsed fields, and it is composed of the following main parts:

- Gamma radiation detection unit
- Neutron detection unit
- Acquisition and control unit
- Alarm beacon

The ICP-PF series gamma probes are based on the CENTRONIC IG5 detector, or alternatively the IG5T which extends the energy range down to 35 keV instead of 80 keV.
The LUPIN 5401 neutron probe is based on the CENTRONIC SP9 (He3) or BF3 15 EB 20/25M (BF3); it is a new-developed and innovative neutron probe specifically designed to monitor pulsed neutron fields.

The system can be connected to a host PC which can manage the data acquisition and display, through an user-friendly software (5700 SMON).
