GE MDS TransNET? long range, high speed serial communications provide dependable and long range data transportability up to 115.2 kbps.

Vast amounts of data is transported by today's SCADA and Telemetry systems at constantly-increasing speeds. Also, the definition of the ?ideal? wireless platform has changed due to the increased need for flexibility in packaging. By using FHSS (Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum), the MDS TransNET solves these problems by providing transparent data communications for almost all SCADA, Telemetry, and EFM protocols including Modbus.

The network operating range can be extended by configuring any MDS TransNET as a repeater. The existence of multiple repeaters at any network level of the network prevents every instance of radio failure from disabling the entire network.

The main benefits of MDS TransNET? are the use of Digital signal processing (DSP) technology featuring self-equalization, automatic CRC/ARQ and robust correction of forward error. In addition, the plug-and-play installation deliver a fast return on investment. TransNET? features an unlicensed radio design, and is capable of communicating with any asynchronous protocol without any additional software programming.
