The EMA-D9, with energy values in four quadrants, is an electronic network analyzer which functions by monitoring the energy consumption, the energy generated, and the difference between the energy produced and consumed. In some instances, these monitored values are in co-generation or photovoltaic systems.

This device keeps an account of the energy consumption in accordance with time bands selected by the user. The mentioned mechanism allows the operator to double-check the bill at the end of the month. Additionally, the EMA-D9 is also capable of reading/displaying the energy values previously measured in other energy meter that are connected to the network. This function is performed through the digital inputs which have acquired the impulses generated by the meter during the installation.

The EMA-D9 does not only collect information from the electricity meter, but also from the water/gas meters because after which every data is transmitted to the remote monitoring system.
