Harmonic distortion and power disturbance in electrical systems have been proven to be fatal to cables, transformers, equipment and capacitor banks. This situated has become more common and deteriorated further due to the use of products such as soft starters, UPS, rectifiers, discharge lamps and variable speed drives. The QPS Detuned Harmonic Circuit Filter Reactor is utilized for filtering harmonics and high frequency disturbance to capacitor banks and therefore can improve the operating life span of the capacitor. The most typical resonance frequency is 189 Hz with an impedance factor of 7%.
