The 18 paths meter is designed for custody transfer measurement of wide viscosity range products.

This flowmeter can be used in applications such as :

. Oil production and allocation,
. FSO, FPSO metering,
. Tanker off loading,
. Storage management,
. Pipeline measurement.

The unit operates on the Ultrasonic Transit Time Method. This method uses the difference in propagation time between ultrasonic pulses transmitted along and against the flow.
The FH8500 multi-path ultrasonic flowmeter integrates 36 transducers generating 18 ultrasonic beams, and providing a complete 3D view of the flow velocity profile.

The FH8500 offers an accurate measurement of +/- 0.15% with a viscosity range of 0.2 to 1000 cSt, a minimum flow detection of 0.05 m/s and a fluid velocity range of 1 to 10 m/s.

The unit is available in sizes from 100 to 600 mm ( 4 to 24 inches).

Instrument approvals include ATEX, PED, EMC, and OIML R117-1 / MID (class 0.3) for custody transfer.
Other national approvals are also available.
