The Xcel Continuous Borer Mining Machine has a 25 year history of continuous operation and improvement in the North American potash, salt, trona and coal mines. It represents the primary production mining technology for some of the worlds most productive underground mines.

PM&P manufactures several variations of the two-rotor continuous mining Boring Machines. The Xcel 72A is the largest and most powerful. It cuts approximately 12 feet high x 20 feet wide. The Xcel 72 and Xcel 52 are slightly smaller, cutting approximately 11 feet high x 18 feet wide. The Xcel 72 is more powerful than the Xcel 52 and can deliver slightly more throughput. The smallest of the two-rotor fleet, the Xcel32, can cut between approximately 8 feet high x 14 feet wide and 9 feet high x 16 feet wide which makes it the perfect development or mine panel maintenance.

All of the two-rotor Xcel Boring Machines use a single chain conveyor to transfer the ore from the face to the rear of the machine and can be easily integrated with various PM&P haulage systems making it a world class continuous mining solution.
